Driving into the Future Driving into the Future
Driving into the Future. This year was the year that I had to make the lingering decision that faces us all during high school: What on earth do I do after I graduate? After exploring many options I decided that yes, I would take a year off, and over half of that year would be spent in British Columbia. I would be living with my Aunt and Uncle, going to high school for a semester, and volunteering at the 2010 Olympic games. Living in Ontario however meant that transportation of not only myself, but all of my gear and the car I would be using had to be transported four-thousand kilometers. We did decide to drive, knowing that we would get the experience to drive across most of Canada and be up for a great adventure. So, mid-August we loaded down our Pontiac Vibe with skis, 7 months worth of belongings, my Mom and I started the trek, which we were confined to completing in four days. Lo and behold our first stop was also Tim Hortons. With all of our travelling days being between 9.5 and 15 hrs.(3 out of 4 were min. 12 hrs.
